K3Metrology wins £2m Innovate UK project

K3Metrology has been awarded a £2 million Innovate UK project to accelerate the development of Metralis®, its next-generation coordinate measurement platform — with the company eligible for 45% grant funding.

The funding was awarded through Innovate UK’s Investor Partnerships programme, which combines government R&D grant funding with aligned private investment to back high-potential UK technology companies. It builds directly on K3Metrology’s recent £2.75m seed round, pairing non-dilutive grant support with the company’s private investment to fund the next phase of Metralis’s development.

The project will move Metralis closer to scalable commercial deployment in aerospace, defence and other high-value manufacturing sectors — sectors where fast, accurate and traceable measurement is critical.

Backing from Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency, is a strong endorsement of both the Metralis technology and the team behind it.

“This Innovate UK award is a major milestone for K3Metrology and a strong validation of our vision for Metralis. With Innovate UK’s backing alongside our investors, we can accelerate development while keeping our focus where it matters — delivering measurement our customers can trust. Metralis has the potential to transform how metrology is deployed across high-value manufacturing, and this support moves us decisively towards scalable, commercial adoption.”
