Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how K3 Metrology Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data when you visit our website or contact us. We are a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16823774), with our registered office at Dalton House, 35 Chester Street, Wrexham, LL13 8AH, United Kingdom.

We are the "data controller" for the personal data described below. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@k3metrology.com.

What personal data we collect

  • Enquiries: when you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, company name (if provided) and the content of your message.
  • Job applications: if you apply for a role, we collect the contact details and information you choose to send us (e.g. your CV).
  • Technical data: our hosting provider may process limited technical information (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs for security and to deliver the website. We do not use website analytics or tracking.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential working relationship — lawful basis: our legitimate interests (responding to those who contact us) and/or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To consider job applications — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in recruitment and/or your consent.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as:

  • our email provider (Microsoft 365);
  • our website host and contact-form provider, which process your message so we can receive it.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU-approved transfer mechanisms) are in place.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless an ongoing business relationship requires us to keep it longer.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months, after which we delete them unless you have asked us to keep your details on file.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@k3metrology.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
